The Flon is an underground, canalized river that flows directly beneath the Maladière traffic circle in Lausanne. The site, normally somewhere people just pass through, is “flooded” with a combination of river gravel and blue and white plants, allowing visitors to rediscover this watery landscape, escape from the traffic noise, and stop to contemplate nature at work.
