Pipes, bicycles, a pump and a lake: that’s all it takes to create a brand-new game! Anyone can play, and the rules couldn’t be simpler: each player grabs a bike near the shore and gets pedaling to move water from the lake. The rear wheel, hidden inside a box, is connected to a modified electric suction-pump motor and a garden hose, one end of which is in the lake. A second hose, with holes in it, lies across the playground. As the players pedal, water comes spurting out of these holes—as a fine mist or in gushing torrents—drenching the surrounding area with a series of temporary fountains. This fun game for players of all ages combines exercise with a strong connection to the lake’s waters. And all it takes, in the end, is a hole in a garden hose!
